What Patients are Saying

Monday & Tuesday 9am-4pm (Off Thursday & Friday), Every other Wednesday 9am-2pm

Dr. Ruder was born and raised on a farm in central Illinois. His fondest childhood memory is leading his team to the local Little League championship at age 12. He was valedictorian of his high school class and then attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology.

He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, completed an internship at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago, then went to UC San Diego for his Psychiatry Residency.

He has over thirty years of experience in the practice of psychiatry and forensic psychiatry, and has been board certified in both disciplines.

As Medical Director he is proud to supervise such an outstanding group of nurse practitioners.

In his free time he is an avid pickleball player and enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife and dogs Theo and Mina.

Elizabeth is a therapist with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Counselor Certification.

She is passionate about helping adults with dual diagnoses and co-occurring disorders. Elizabeth has experience working with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, bi-polar I and II, eating disorders, PTSD, trauma, addiction disorders, personality disorders and OCD. She received her training in a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient setting.

Elizabeth uses a treatment model that is eclectic, as she believes every client’s needs vary. These models include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Eyemovement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She recognizes that the client knows themselves best and, as such, her approach to therapy is relational, compassionate and client-centered. Beginning the journey to recovery is a brave and difficult step, and Elizabeth strives to create an environment of trust and dependability.
